The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs in Solomon Islands has led the way in commissioning and being actively involved in research to better understand violence against women and girls, and how services, awareness and other interventions can prevent and stop violence. Women’s Experiences of Family Violence Services in Solomon Islands examines women’s stories of using services in order to make recommendations for service delivery, gaps and reforms across the set of services provided under the Family Protection Act (including police, courts, refuges, counselling and health services).
